Contemporary Art Center Fort Worth
Located on the ground floor of a six story concrete framed structure, originally built in 1924 as a parking garage. The metal entry canopy is a reinterpretation of a freight elevator gate system, intending to raise and lower in conjunction with gallery hours. A pipe grid is suspended below the concrete ceiling structure to reduce the visual awareness of the exposed mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Photography Tom Jenkins
