Fermata
This house for a Carolina Chickadee borrows its shape from a musical notation known as a Fermata. Fermata, also known as a bird’s eye, is an element of musical notation indicating that a note should be sustained for longer than it’s note value. The duration of the note is indeterminate and the note’s interpretation intuitive, as is the call/song notes of a Carolina Chickadee. Photography Ralph Lauer
